Wilser’s Room

What better way to spend a Sunday night than by listening to some of Fredericton’s favourite local artists, business owners, and sisters-in-law read some fun, weird, and hopefully cringe-worthy things they wrote as kids, all in support of Solo Chicken’s the coop?

On Sunday November 29th at 7:30pm, Solo Chicken will be hosting a very funny fundraiser at the Wilser’s Room (Capital Complex) to support their next creative process. The evening will feature embarassing, funny, heartwarming or just weird short readings by cast of familiar local faces including the likes of David Coon of the Green Party, Tania Breen of Theatre New Brunswick, Ryan Griffith from the Next Folding Theatre Company, and local artist Natalie Sappier! These and other brave souls will be laying their scribblings bare so that the coop members can spread their wings!

the coop, a wing of Solo Chicken Productions, is a physical theatre company helmed by co-Artistic Directors Lisa Anne Ross and Lesandra Dodson. the coop’s members Jean-Michel Cliche, Alex Donovan, Ian Goff, Lexi MacRae, and Alexa Higgins, as well as Ross and Dodson, are currently the Artists In Residence at St. Thomas University. the coop is working on the creation of their full-length new work A Record of Us, coming to the Fredericton Playhouse in July 2016, as well as collaborating with students on a Theatre St Thomas production of The Bacchae.

On Sunday November 29th, come on over to the Wilser’s Room to support the coop and attend what promises to be an hilarious and cringe-worthy evening of stories! Tickets available at the door. Ages 19+
