Janowskii is a Delta-doom trio from Fredericton, New Brunswick. Recorded with Mike Trask at the Memramcook Recording Studio, the band’s long-awaited self-titled debut album releases August 31, 2018. A murky combination of backwoods blues and trashy rock and roll, Janowskii melds the howlin’, growlin’ vocals of home-grown wonder Keith Hallett with a reckless rhythm section - Drew Budovitch (Maiden Names) and Matt Legere (The Waking Night). Bringing a new punk approach to the genre, Janowskii pulls sounds from pre-war blues, as well as 60’s garage, psychedelia, and other unknown depths, to create a dense and dirty blend of blues.

Motherhood’s sound really is innovative. Honest. Described as widely as weirdo country, circus punk, and black metal fusion, the New Brunswick-based trio has reluctantly settled on “Art rock” as a catch-all. But as their genre remains illusory, their aesthetic is palpable: if you get comfortable, you deserve to be duped.
Formed in 2010, Motherhood has released two full-lengths , an EP , and a split tape to date. The band has spent several years cutting their teeth on the road, touring nationally and playing notable national festivals to consistently confounded audiences - and that’s just how they like it.

The Waking Night‘s principal sonics are a strong combination of bluesy guitar leads over enormous rhythmic structures that walk a narrow path between art rock and old-school country with each song a compelling story all its own.
